Boy Says: Wouldn’t know as I refuse to pay* more than the price of a normal cinema ticket – which stupidly high anyway – for the privilege of wearing a pair of glasses that make you look like a twat. What I do know is that films made in 3D that are shown in 2D suck root. Lots of root. Why is this axe spinning towards me really slowly? Why is that person pointing to the camera? Why are there so many fucking balloons in this scene?
* This will be true until they start making 3D porn. When I can watch a film like Pirates, in glorious 3D, I will gladly acknowledge the demise of 2D
Girl Says: I recently had the pleasure (that’s sarcasm) of seeing Up in 3D. After about 15 minutes I’d zoned out to the fact that it was in 3D so really the technology isn’t so incredible that it justifies me spending extra money. It terrifies me to think that when I have kids they will automatically think that if they don’t need to wear ridiculous glasses to watch a film then it will be shit. And now apparently we’re going to get 3D TV?! Why? I don’t want to sit in my living room looking like the kind of dickhead who should be wearing a padded helmet at all times.
